    Quality Carriers . Here's the Hoover's page on them . http://www.hoovers.com/company/Quality_Distribution_Inc/tfrrci-1.html
Don't be confused by it saying they have 3,200 tractors and 1,600 employees . Many of the tractors are owned by affiliates . The drivers are employed by the affiliate , not QC .

I'm surprised so few people chose reefer . It just shows unwillingness of people to work nowadays . I'm also surprised so mny picked vans because they are the ones that get stuck waiting at docks with low paying loads .

After 9 years away from reefers (my own at that time) I just hired on with a reefer outfit Wednesday....I asked the owner hows your freight been moving ?? He said "were doing ok, people have to eat" !!!!!

Looks like the first of the week I'll get the drug test done and be rolling shortly after it comes back..

I prefer Reefers. Groundpounder is right people have to eat. Also it has been rare for me to do a load with multiple stops.

I pulled a reefer for 7 years...stayed busy but hated the grocery warehouse BS. Didn't pull much produce mainly candy, pharmaceuticals, and dead chicken.

No question that a grocery warehouse can bring the worst out in a driver !!

If you think that you can consitantly get 3200 miles a week pulling a reefer, you'd be kidding yourself. The problem is with load/unload times. It is not unusual for a shipper/receiver to take 4-5 hrs to unload/load the trailer. If you get dispatched on a meat load it might take days!. No Joke.

A lot of it depends on the name of the company on door and who they have for accounts....and yes meat sucks, remember Schanno ?? I was leased to them back in the day and got my share of IBP.....
