We has stopped for the evening at a little truck stop in SD, and it's basically a Landstar convention.

The OM has always liked SD, and now thinks this also could be the place to establish The Davetro.

    Fuel is holding at 7.7

Solar panels would be better. No need for fuel or wondering if it will start.

1/2 cow is actually the result of the fact people seem to think a steak should only be 3/4 inch thick and $14 + a pound here. Found a butcher in Kentucky with great prices on great product. Should be a years worth of beef in that freezer.

We have a JBS plant in town so I guess that's why ours is so reasonable.

    How many pounds is that?

You in TN now? No problem; TN river has multiple power generating dams, the dry spots a nuke plant.
Like a spiderweb of steel towers out of there south toward Tupelo, MS, the 1st TVA city.
You could probably just stick a dryer plug atop a 30 foot pole with a lead to the house, and get enough to get by on.

I’ve even seen fading headlights through those clouds back when I drove R-models. :biggrin_25523:

Could you PM the contact please? My kin in Kentucky would probably be very interested in that.
