Brian at the Fresno airport was the lead when it came to Jet-A. He was a busy guy and known as a grump at times. All he wanted was to be called an hour out. After awhile you get to know land marks and call precisely 60 minutes out. We got along great.
If the request is reasonable I usually do it. If it makes someone's life easier why not.
