1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Worse now, I live in SD and they want resumes with $9.00 ph jobs. The same jobs pay better in much cheaper to live, TX. Don't think I'll be here much longer..

I wouldn't consider 5 yrs a "rookie" or little experience. I should also mention that at 5 yrs or 35 yrs if you're not still learning or want to learn something new you should hang it up.

I filled an on-line application for a local Bobtruck job offering 9.00 hr with 40 assessment questions and a six page math and english test.

The math test is to make sure you can count off 213 cases of this and then the next stop 356 cases of that, thats from the 2900 cases you start out with, cases of all sizes, shapes, printing etc. Stuffed in there from floor to ceiling. Can you say "Let the fun times begin"?

then you have each case and it's weight... add them all together, and are you over gross? sheesh... and i thought computers would make this job easier... NOT.

during hard times, people will resort to working for just under survival wages... it's not going to get any easier this winter.:biggrin_25513:
