I swear some days, just can't do nothin' right...

 

People do, in fact, suck.

I have never been rude to any staff at a restaurant or cafe, even when I've had orders really screwed up. No reason to be awful about it. Some of that comes from my mother being a cook when I was growing up, and some comes from my own experience doing the short order cook thing at a small Cafe just after I graduated from high school. Made it less than a month before I decided that doing that for work absolutely wasn't for me in any capacity.

The other day I was at Home Depot getting a pile of things and they only had one person working check out. I avoid using self check outs when I have a lot of stuff so I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes in a line where a human is working the register. While I'm being rung up, some older lady comes up behind me and starts up..

"MA'AM. MA'AM. EXCUSE ME. ARE YOU THE ONLY CHECKER RIGHT NOW? EXCUSE ME HEY, I'M TALKING TO YOU"

Checker says "Yes, I'm the only one right now I'm sorry"

"THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I SEE ALL THESE EMPLOYEES WALKING AROUND NOT DOING ANYTHING. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT BECAUSE NONE OF YOU WANT TO WORK"

The look on the cashiers face told me all I needed to know about what was going on in her head at that moment. But, she kept her composure and said

"If you want, you can go down to the contractor side and someone will check you out there"

Old bag responds with "I DON'T WANT TO WALK ALL THE WAY DOWN THERE. THAT'S GOING TO TAKE TOO LONG, AND I HAVE THINGS TO DO".

I had enough of listening to her and told her to shut up or use the self check out, because in the time she'd spent #####ing she could have self scanned the three items she had and been on her way.

"I don't know how to use it"

"I'm sorry you're too stupid to learn"

 

Cut them little bits out and reinstall. Quick detach for next time.

Just did it a few months ago on hopper. Simply backing up a hill loaded. Just trying to be nice and move out of someone's way. No curb. First time in 5 years. Mudflaps are consumables. Don't sweat it.

 

I find my patience for ###-hattery is dwindling as well. Not sure what's gonna happen when its depleted.

 

You become me, yelling "Get out of my yard".

Chasing dumb truck drivers down at 3am in you underwear.

 

About that. Can you please start wearing boxers instead of tighty whities.
