I have found out that the internet is quite helpful in learning about these companies but the best resources is still the drivers themselves. If your at a company..ask to see and talk to a driver. Watch there facial expressions if they are legite with everything they have told you they will say yes. Hell some even offer that.
Who really has the best home time.

JK, folks. But Knight has Express driver option, 4 days out/4 days off. Problem is, you can't make any $$$ driving that. I (and anybody else) can 'modify' that to 5-8 on/4 off. Can make some $ doing that. That's the main reason why I am with them---NOT for the $$. My phone no. is 555-GET-ALIFE. Thank you.
Knight reqmt is that you must look as good as below std: -

Another thing to remember is that some guys do find their way into a local out of school, but for the most part the good paying locals are taken by the hand with stick time. If you go to school and then do a local gig and later you opt for OTR you will be in another catagory. No recent OTR, and not a recent grad. Hello refresher course because most companies will not hire you for insurance reasons. Now the local vs OTR has been a ongoing battle for many a trucker. I have been there. Get burnt out of being gone and get a local, but by the time you get home eat, shower and bedtime and off you go again. Some locals will burn you out as well. Now before one of you challenges me, think about it. I have chased the white line a few times and I like sleeping in my own bed, but the road/ local can be a mind pondering event.
