Greetings all,
I leased purchased a truck from SFI. $1035.00 a week.. Had it for 2 1/2 years. 8 months to pay it off. All down the drain. My DEF sensor took a #### back in August. Paccar said initially there was a 4-6 week backorder. After 4 weeks, I called KW and now it's a 9-12 week backorder. Almost 2 months go by and I called again. They said that Paccar has released a temporary computer bypass for that sensor. Mechanic called to get said program as it is issued by VIN number. They responded back saying they had that sensor and were shippinging it out. Been 7 days and still have not received it. Mechanic emailed today and they have not responded. I jave until Friday then the truck has to be turned back in to SFI.. I asked SFI if they had another truck that I could use and said they did not. They are taking the weekly payments out but are placing them in late status. I have to pay late fees and when I turn it back in, I will be charged 10 weeks of payments plus 5000.00 penalty for breaking lease plus the repairs. All my hard work done for nothing. Whoever has a T680, place a order for the DEF quality sensor now. I pray no one has to go through this.

Hopefully you have documentation on everything.
Seems like Schneider is being very unreasonable to me.
Seems like paccar should have some culpability in this.
As long as you have documentation on everything, you might as well spend a few hundred bucks and talk to an attorney.
How do you know this isn't a scam between billionaires?feldsforever, singlescrewshaker, bzinger and 9 others Thank this. -
Everything is documented if and when I need it.

I have been thinking about this recently due to the parts shortage. If the trucks under warranty I would have a lawyer send a letter to both SFI and Paccar. In the meantime find some work and tell SFI to pound sand.

I have searched all over the USA and Canada for a used one giving the part number on my old sensor. No one will has one. The ones who do have one will only sell it as a unit with the tank. I agreed to buy the whole tank and no one responded. I seen a new one on ebay and they were selling it for $4,400 when the part cost a couple hundred. Supply and demand. By the time I saw it, it was sold.

Man, I'm sorry for your problems, but SFI is not it. They're a finance company. And had you financed locally, you would have the same problem.
Your issue is with the manufacturer. SNI is a bank.feldsforever, bzinger, D.Tibbitt and 4 others Thank this. -
You are exactly right. My problem is with Paccar. Does anyone know what the aftertreatment warranty is on a 2017 KW T680 MX-13?
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
