Truck stop showers….

There are definitely more than a couple nasty stank drivers out there when they don't have to be.... As far as I can tell, the Ohio Turnpike offers the showers for FREE - you just have to bring your own towel.

Yet still, I was wandering through one of them back in June and there was a driver sitting in the driver lounge area watching TV. He was behind glass (and a glass door to that area and the shower area) and I could STILL smell him from 5+ feet away. Like holy moley dude, you are fogging the glass with that BO!

Degree (or any other) deodorant / antiperspirant is designed to block the pores and sweat glands in your armpits, as a means of reducing the swamp ### that happens there. IT DOESN'T WORK FOREVER and yeah - you DO still need to shower, your family must have as burned out a sense of smell as you do!

Trust the rest of us - a ripe livestock trailer is more pleasant to be around than that.

 

I can take a shower with 2 buckets of water on the catwalk if I need to, privacy curtains optional.

 

Having that BO is good for going into Pilot or Flying J to clear out the always long line at checkout. And pro tip lots of the time the BO you think is someone else is actually your own.

 

I'm confident I know which one would be cleaner if you swabed the hand I used to tinkle with and you swabed the back of my hand I used to push the pee frosted flush and the faucet handle

 

I used the showers at the Vince Lombardi service plaza on the NJTP once. Talk about nasty. The sink was broken off the wall and laying on the floor. The floor of the shower appeared clean, but mold was growing around the top.
Ohio turnpike showers are very nice and clean.

 

they better be nice and clean for it costing $75 one way to use it! there should be unlimited free coffee and doughnuts at each one of those service plazas every 20 feet for how much it costs to use the Ohio turnpike

 

Might be that the fecal matter was an accident; guy might have eaten one of those petrified hot dogs from ‘the rack’ earlier.
Poor bugger.

 

Only if someone opens up a truck stop that’s members only.

Rules include: leaving the restroom and showers as you found it.
No stroking the pole in the public bathrooms.


Been always thinking about it and i have always searched for land to accomplish this. I’m just not sure if its going to be worthwhile or successful as majority on here talk but wont pay for this type of facility.

 

Not showering is great though. Especially once the Covid vaccine mandates hit. And since most of us drivers are against the vaccine we can opt for the weekly testing. When they hand you that swab each week, because this is how they’re going to administer it. Self administering. Make sure you swab it, where the sun don’t shine after about a week of not showering. Then give it back to them.
