Real fine officers there . Spending time writing tickets for busted lights while rigs with bad tires and brakes go by . I had an O/O tell me a DOT cop told him he stopped O/O's because their trucks were cleaner and he could do a level 1 without getting dirty . When was the last time one of your buddies pulled bullhauler for inspection ?
Visors? What is legal & what is not?

Thats a pretty broad statement.
This is the factory visor, not much to it.

This is an aftermarket that really makes the truck look better, and cuts A LOT of the sun light out of your eyes this time of year when the sun is low to the south. It sure helps all year long when driving into the sun coming up or going down. During the summer it makes the AC feel like its working SO MUCH better.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
I doubt it...Seriously.
But you do like to toss out those little hit and run negativity shots, Don't you?
What's the matter? Do you need a little attention? Are you sittin' around at the truck stop countin' your pennies and can't even come up with enough for a Subway sammich?Chain Drive Thanks this. -

393.60e- 6" from the top of windshield
Although if interpreted, could be fought due to the visor NOT mounted to windshield.KB3MMX Thanks this. -
This is not an enforced rule. An hr or two on the roads will show this. -
No man... He's still upset with me I'm guessing because I called him on being a sissy the other day. Plus he's a ex-werner driver... Has only driven for werner... and would get a nose bleed if he stepped into a real truck.
That would explain the 6" tint I currently have. I'll have to go look at the visor to see exactly where it mounts & how much of the windshield it covers. -
truck standard for tint is federal in the FMCSR, car is up to the state. A good example: Down south by the mexican border, nearly every car has very dark tinted windows (no idea on the percent, but it sure is DARK!), INCLUDING FEDERAL BORDER PATROL. I live in Michigan, not too far from the canadian border. In michigan, i can't tint my front windshield or front side windows at all, but other windows are fair game. I drive a sport wagon so i intend to tint the back windows to hide my cargo/speakers.
15% VLT? How can you even see through that? -
There is a reason for the difference in tint from north to south. It gets hot down there.... They need darker tint to keep their interiors cooler. You on the other hand in Michigan just have to turn the heat down.
