I applied for a TWIC card at around the end of July and still have not received my card. They said it should take 20 to 30 days for it to show up. I don't know if they mean working days or not. I've called them twice. The first time they said to wait until the 30 days is up and call again so I did at which point they say they'd have to escalate it up on the priority list or something along those lines and to call back next week which is this week. Really doesn't surprise me with how things are going these days and the issues going on with the government and all.

From what I've been told there's an abundance of loads coming into the ports that require a TWIC card to get access to. Thus my attempt to get one.

I don't think there's a problem with my criminal background considering I have a concealed carry license which required an extensive background check also.

From Massachusetts here, where EVERYTHING is mucked up. State blames everything on covid. TWIC card doesn't renew for another year, so time will tell.
Applied for Massachusetts hydraulic/hoisting licenses only to cover my butt loading, unloading lowbed trailer.
State licensing website says everything happens in 3-4 weeks. Six months from date of application to receiving actual license.
As stated, from Massachusetts, where everything is many times more dramatic compared to rest of country(except CA?).
    Best wishes :occasion5:

It's more of the loons that are in office. It was the same when I got mine.

When the driver that has my second truck got his, when Uncle Don was running the show, two weeks start to card in mailbox.

I hadn't even noticed mine expired two months ago. I don't even think I used it once the last 5 yrs. Before that I was getting some port loads, so may just get a new one just in case. Thanks for the reminder.

I renewed mine a couple months ago and had zero problems getting it
It did take maybe a week or two longer and for some reason this was the first time that they mailed it to me
I usually had to go to their office and pick it up in person

I also got my passport. Same thing. Maybe a couple weeks longer

I think you can log on and check status, I know I did but don’t know if it was twic or passport?

I'll be seeing if that works for me I suppose because I let mine expire because not one single person ever asked me for it! The few times I pulled it out all proud to have it they said, "we don't use that we do real time....go stand in front of that camera". (That was at Gunpowder, MD armory).

I was like what a waste and said never again!

I'd be the last one at the gate 5 minutes before they close, and be the one driver they checked. It's a curse.
