    Sources vary and I don't trust the medical community at all. I do see that most Americans are indeed overweight. As far obesity? Maybe it IS getting that bad.

    Just take a look in your own family albums from before the 70s or any old home movie clips,
    Everyone is skinny, jarringly so.
    Take a look at some old cook books and see how many people each recipe would feed. Make that recipe and eat your fill then recalculate . You will be stunned .
    I dont think its what we eat, its how much we eat now. Portion size is out of control.
    Next is the fact that we have gotten amazingly good at making food delicious. How often do you eat something that just tastes outrageously good
    I dont believe this is how things were in the past. Food was simple and mostly seen as fuel, not entertainment
    I love my food but I am seriously questioning all the time I put into getting better at cooking

    Not a lot going on. Just full driving days as I head toward NC. Pretty easy to stick to it when it's all just repetition.

    Yes yes yes. I’m at 40lbs down. I’m eating good food mostly what ever I want just much much less of it.

    I sort of do the 1 big meal a day at dinner. It works for me Not a big breakfast person, never hungry when i wake up. Usually a sandwich and some fruit for lunch and a few snacks in between. Mostly coffee and water, hardly drink any soda. Beer is what made me put on a few pounds

    I agree but I think the BS lab made chemicals and poison like higher fructose corn syrup are to blame as well. We are being fattened up for the slaughter like animals.

    But if you're active enough you won't gain fat regardless of your beer. It's all about balance.

    True story. When I was in college I drank like a fish and actually lost weight because i was so active in various sports. As soon as I stopped working out, stopped being so active in sports, the weight gain started creeping even though I no longer drank like a fish…still drank but not as heavily. I’m convinced if I start to be more active and burn more calories etc., the weight will come back off…all while still enjoying adult beverages lol
