Riverside Transport lease purchase

I applied there years ago and the safety director was so stupid he couldn't tell the difference between the arrest date, conviction date and suspension date on a 20 year old dui ...he tried telling me I got 3 dui,s in 6 months...told him he was a moron and hung up .

 

Yeah ... when you ran your business model against it, how did the numbers come out?

 

Avoid like the plauge. Uncle tried a lease purchase with them and it was bad on toast according to him. Also if your going to do a lease i would do something like a pacclease purchase. That way if a company screws you you can just take your ball (truck) and go home. Same price but more reliable.

I'm not interested in doing any kind of lease. But, seems to me it is unwise to lease from the same company that controls your miles. I'd strongly recommend if you are going to lease, lease from an outside place and bring it to where your gonna work. That way if they you want/need to go elsewhere, for whatever reason, you won't lose your truck and all the effort and resources you put into it. I've just heard, on here, too many horror stories of folks leasing a truck from the same company they are working for and after a few months their miles get so low they lose the truck. It appears some companies do that strategically so they benefit from your lease.

 

Talked to one of their drivers a couple of years ago, he had been there a few years and was happy. That's all I know about them..this girl's got a YouTube channel..as far as I know she is still there but thinking she's doing recruiting stuff too

 

Don't go by what you were told ... you run your business, not them.

You have to run your own numbers and manage the business to those numbers. What do your numbers tell you?
