I think in general, you are more right than you know. I think we are going to see a resurgence of folks fixing things themselves because of the shortages, pricing, incompetence and govt intrusion. I mean this across the board and not just with trucks. With so many things being proprietary now, folks are getting fed up. Atleast with my truck and yours, things are very generic and the vast majority of parts between our trucks would interchange. not so with new trucks or most new things in general.

Look into right to repair if you haven't already. This whole thing has shot the value of trucks like yours and mine up even more. I'm seeing Pete's and KWs go for 70k plus now. Trucks like mine are pushing 50k. Of course this isn't for junk trucks but we'll taken care of good running pre emission trucks are commanding very good prices. Chip shortage drove up the price of all trucks across the board old and new. Emissions problems from the chip shortage have driven up old trucks even more. A good bath and a new bumper and some new stacks that don't have rust pits and I could likely come close to doubling my money if I wanted to sell my truck.
Yeah he's brave for sure. Idk how the Canucks are on fines but down here it's alottttt. But at 3500 to 4k a pop to do it a fella would easily make enough to pay the fine off in a week. The software to do it is about 10k as well. I found that just googling. It's not advertised as that but it reads the computers coding line by line. -

I was told the dot ain't the epa and the epa can't pull you over. My guy was telling me he's had trucks go into California and not had any issues. When I pulled campers my pickup was deleted and I didn't have any issues there either.cke, Eldiablo, DeereRunner97 and 2 others Thank this.

Might be checking out a super liner tomorrow morning about 2 hours from here. Been sitting for a few years, i don't even know if it's for sale. Saw it when we were doing frac sand but the lot isn't big enough to pull a truck into. Silver, single axle, that's all i know about it. And clean looking
