There is a way to deal with this. Hey @L.A.toTX , you ever drive for Trans Am?

I went through orientation. It's a rather long story, but the gist of it is that there was a bit of a miscommunication. It truly was that and nothing more. I can describe the whole situation, but I won't do so on this specific post, so as to keep it somewhat short. My CDL training was paid for by WIOA, so I owe nothing to any company. TransAm doesn't even show up on my DAC, so it's a moot issue.

    Here is the TransAm story:
Completed orientation and was set to be assigned a truck on the last day of our orientation (roughly 7 of us remaining on the last day). At around 10 am, I was informed that my truck was in the shop and that it should be ready soon. After speaking with the shop manager, I learned that my truck would be ready later that afternoon. I spoke with HR and received approval to drive to my house to pick up some personal items to take onto my truck with me. I was instructed to be back at the terminal by 2:30. I drove home (35 min) and then later back (40 min) to arrive at 2:20.
HR informed me at that time that my truck should be ready soon. I spoke with the shop again, at which time I was told that my truck was at KW being serviced and would be back at the terminal by 7 pm.
Alright, so the Rockwall terminal for TransAm is pretty small. There is only a small waiting area outside of the personnel offices, which is not air conditioned. This is Texas in the summer with the sun shining through the glass front doors. There are two small tables between the personnel offices and the training offices, which is outside, in the heat. There is no other place to sit. Above the shop are restrooms w/shower, a small laundry room, and a Transflo machine. There is no seating in these areas. There is no place to get anything to eat, save a snack machine that sometimes works.
I waited from 2:30 until 6:00 for my truck. At 6:00, the shop told me that they would give me a call when my truck is ready. I waited until 7, then left to go home. I took the permit book and truck keys I was given with me, so that once I was called I could be right back at the terminal to get my truck. At 2:30ish the next afternoon I get a call from HR asking where the permit book and the truck keys are. I was told that I received a call that morning informing me that my truck was ready. I didn't receive a call that morning. I brought the permit book and keys back to the terminal by 4:00 that afternoon. I was asked to sign a resignation form, which I refused because I didn't resign. As far as I was aware, I was waiting to be told when my truck would be ready and basically got forgotten. I do believe that it was a miscommunication between HR, the shop, and KW about when the truck would be ready.
As it pertains to my resumed trucking position search, TransAm is irrelevant. It's unfortunate that it turned out as it did, but it may have been for the better because since that time, I met my wife and now have a child on the way. So, I don't see that experience as entirely bad. It taught me some things about just taking initiative instead of asking for permission. Meaning, I should have just left the terminal to go home when I was told that I would be called when the truck is ready. I should have gotten up early and arrived at the terminal by 8:00 to see if my truck was ready. But, again, that position not working out turned out to be a blessing because I probably would not have met my wife.

Ok its probably been asked and answered (im to lazy to read all the comments) you got have a CDL, you had an accident, tou have a felony. Ok got that, but heres a real important question. What have you been doing for the past year? If driving how is record since accident? If not driving then your a candidate for swift or crst. Cause a cdl and no driving for 12 months. Is almost same as no cdl

    That's cool. You're right, it's irrelevant.
