Is my TND 720 still any good?

Does RM actually update their maps? No clue the last time I saw a map update come across. Always see updates doe their ELD but never see maps. Several cities with newer construction is still lacking.

 

My 730 had time and date issue that rand wasn't going to fix. I believe that was when the 740's came out.

 

Rand McNally TND-720 LM is the best GPS for truckers. I returned the new one because the GPS signal is garbage. Just make sure you keep the maps updated and you should be fine. If you ever have an issue where the 720 doesn't turn on, I had to stick a piece of cardboard into the charger port to make the connection tighter. I've been using it like that for the last 2 years. I've been using this GPS for 5 years now and I will never use anything else. They don't make things like they used to, all those fancy new ones with the magnets and the cameras will break in a couple years.

 

this very website developed a free trucker gps app called hammer. look in to it.

 

I gave up on getting the maps updated and was surprised to see a 5.1 GB map data update. I hope this update makes things better.

 

Hi .Keep yours GPS and download Road Hunter App you can use them both .I'm user of Garmin but Road Hunter is much better and free

 

If you don't want it, I might buy it off you. I despise my Garmin.

 

Keep the 720,much better than any of the junk garmins been running my 720 and garmin 785 ,the 720 beats it hands down! The 785 will have u going 50 miles out of ure way on more than route, that I run.use it till it dies, tried the 740 rnd pos froze up 1st night,took it back got another pos called dezl cam 785.
