Think about it. Doing business with people on CRAIGSLIST? Really is this ever a good idea? Think about the money being moved around and better yet do your homework before the big test then maybe next time you will pass.

Looking at some of those ads on craig's list and you wonder how these people can post such low wages. Every once in awhile you'll find a decent company posting on there, but most of the time it is the bathroom wall of want ads. Craig's lists isn't as trendy as in the past. Even though it does costs a little money to post on CL in most metro markets, spending more money to post on careerbuilder or monster, etc. looks better. Too bad you couldn't have held a load and that trailer until you were paid the full amount. How could they claim a shipment was short a skid? Did you have a signed POD free and clear? If you did they don't have a leg to stand on other than hidden damages and that is only for 12 days.

Thanks guys, I am sitting down with an attorney tomorrow. I am going to place leins on any assit possible. They are supposed to have a 5800.00 check for me tomorrow but I think this will be unlikely. The owner of this company also owns a landscape business, see if I can tag those assits as well. Lets just say I have learned a very expensive lesson afeter being in this business for over 16 years. Just goes to show you never know everything....

I have the signed PO's but they do show both stops were short. The load was sealed by the guard before leaving the property and not unsealed till the first stop I was not allowed on the dock while being loaded.... It was a load of flower.... Regardless theloads were delevered and this should just be a matter for this company to make a clam on thier insurance I would think. It loaded in Texas and deleved in Ohio. I dont think its my issue to worry about collecting pay from the broker, thats between them and they should pay, but they say if the broker dont pay then they wont pay..it was a 1911.00 load to the truck. I spent my fuel money, wear and tear and my time.

Since all this, they have removed every ad on the internet.

Chances are, they are set up on Quick Pay, and was paid within 24 hours of receipt of invoice. Contacting CHR is not a bad idea though, They may be on the cheap side, but they do pay, and do not like doing business with cheats. Just my two cents worth.......:biggrin_2556:

So he ducked and dodged me all day, I Allegedly went to his business address which is his apartment and guess who wouldnt answer the door, now they are saying they are going to make a police report for me Allegedly going to his registered business address.... Thats right. Now they are telling me they put the check in the mail on saturday, just buying time imo. I did mention that I would contact CHR and let them know that they are not paying the O/O. I got a response back in the form of a threat via txt.

Back to my earlier post about the load being short and a load that does not have weight tickets. They are now saying I stole the cargo and my signiture proves it. I will be held accountable for the 1000.00 deductable. I was never informed about the weight tickets needing to be turned in or I would have not left them with the receiver, the load was delevered and the paperwork stamped and signed RECEIVED. But telling me without these weight tickets the broker is not paying.

If and when I sue them, there is nothing in the contract that states if they do not get paid from the broker that I wont be paid... can they do this, is it legal? Thier contract does not even follow the basic leasing laws
