Didn't Prime buy them a couple of years ago? They were bought by someone recently.
-
Not that i am aware of they are still Lone Star Transportation llc. out of Dallas / Ft. Worth Texas .
I have not found any merger as of yet .... most mergers are easily found on the web .
But if you can get a hold of that other hand or p.m. me and let me know what that other site is . I will check it out for info.... nothing has came up other than their site upon search engines . -
I haven't heard about them being acquired by Prime. Hope not. They were a good company. they moved their headquarters from Gainesville TX to FTW a couple of years ago. right at Loop 820 and Blue Mound RD. Old Ceramic Cooling Tower/Baltimore Aircoil Bldg.
-
They still are in Gainsville TX . Per the discussion that I had with the recruiter today . She said that is where i would be going if I chose to go with them .

Your thinking Passmoore
-
Yep Prime bought out Passmore but that was a deal gone bad.....
It was supposed to be an 5 year turn around because A. Passmore was in a bit of trouble..... but that deal went south in an hurry......
Just ONE of the reasons that I brought about the thread Prime-only the newbies sing the praises 2....
That is another conversation for another day...... -
Any deal with prime goes bad. I use to have respect for the Passmoore drivers. I even considered driving for them at one time. Then when I started seeing passmoore trucks pulling prime trailers & prime pulling passmore trailers.....
I lost all my respect for that company. -
Yeah, I guess it was Passmore that Prime bought. I wanted to go with Lonestar before I signed on with ATS. The required two years experience and I only had 20 months. Can't say if that was a lucky break or not, but I am happy where I ended up.

I think you are probably better where you are. I think they are pretty slow now. Wind was their baby and it has all but died in TX. See some of their flats occasionally.
