Got rid of my Florida license before I got my TN CDL learner permit. I was suppossed to got to orientation 1/04. They want the old Florida number.

Think they could have mentioned this 4 weeks ago when they gave me a prehire?

I tried to get Florida on the phone. No luck. They never answer that number, always busy. I tried at the old DMV in the county I lived in. I asked if I had a notarized request faxed? Nope!

Can I go to the city up the road from me where I last got a ticket? It was my Florida license. That was 20 months ago.

I am going nuts. When I first got the prehire they wanted to take me 3 days after I graduated. I told them I wanted to wait until after New years.

You would think that the paper work and back ground would have been done.

I'm confused... you got RID of your FL before you got your Tn CDL? You mean you never memorized the number? So how did you get a TN license without a drivers license from another state? I hope you memorize it as you'll be writing it down a lot when you finall get a driving job!

go to this website and go to ONLINE SERVICES....
From there go to DRIVER LICENSE RENEWALS .... answer all questions.... locate your records box will pop up...in section 1 only enter your SS# and in section 2 DOB and LAst 4 of your social and click continue.... keep clicking continue.... verify your address when u were in florida,,,, answer the 2 questions.... are u a US CITIZEN and are you a FLORIDA RESIDENT... say yes to both because you only wanna get the NUMBER... just click continue where it asks for ur email address and the next screen that comes up will have ur info on it if ur still in the system... GOOD LUCK.. hope this helps

I live in KY . When I renewed my hazmat endorsement this year KY wanted the numbers of all my CDL's I had in the past 10 years . I had a GA CDL 9 years ago and didn't have the number . I called GA and they said they only had records back 7 years . When I went to the KY DMV they got on the computer and had my GA number in less than minute . TN can get the number for you . The carrier could also get it with no problem if they wanted to .

I had a regular FL driver license when I switched to a regular TN license. A few weeks later I got a slot in school to get my CDL. I didn't think I would need the FL license number. You know these companies have their ways of finding out everything.

I will try the online thing first.

A good lesson here is to make copies of all your professional papers.
