    Lightning struck me twice today.

The IRP office got my transfer complete in 2 business days, beating their 3-5 day claim. I will line up a maiden voyage for tomorrow afternoon-ish.

Meanwhile, I was finalizing a few things on the truck and got an email from my Great Dane salesman, who it turns out was alive and still working there. Sounds like there's some behind the scenes negotiating going on with multiple orders they have on deck, and a chance of maybe getting a build slot a little earlier than expected, but not going to place any bets on that actually happening. He confirms "Increased demand, and decreased production (stemming from material and labor shortages)." Which I already expected to hear. Sounds like once they get their allotments sorted out, I'll get my quote and will not delay in returning it.

February. I'm fine with the model year 23 instead. 2 Freightliners that original date was a few months ago will come in December. At least they cut my price because of it. They know i hate buying and a month later it's a new model year.

Not trucks, but a used dealer I talked to today was close to getting (30) 2012 dry vans. The seller called and said someone else had offered 13K more PER trailer. Crazy times

No, just switching the business model up. I have 13 owner ops leased on at this point and trucks been sitting and I don't forsee myself driving anytime soon. I'd rather sell it and dump it all into advertising and recruiting

How does that work with having your own authority? Do you pay for the insurance for your leased on drivers, or does the insurance on your personal truck take care of the requirement to have insurance in place to keep your authority active? I'm just curious.

    Vampire Thanks this.
