It's harder on the people watching but in their mind they're in a different time frame re living old memories

 

@Rontonio all joking aside. Aleast you got a car. They are far and few around here. Forget about a actual rental car in less you book way in advance.

I recall being with dad in Detroit. He was having something worked on. He asked for a car to go get lunch. It was taking much longer than planned. It was new, but it was a Yugo. I was only 7yo maybe, he was a bear of a man. Whe laughed the entire time. What a pos.

 

How often can one run PC in situations like the one you had? It happened to me a couple of times on my last couple of trips and the first two times I PC’d for 11-15 minutes each time and after that I would guess where I would end up when I would run out of hours and if there wasn’t parking or a truck stop I would stop at a truck stop that was closer even if I had 30 minutes to an hour left of drive time left.But I would rather do what you did.
