Code eec 61 freigtliner cascadia 2012

The code cleared after the third key cycle after I filled the DEF tank all the way to the top. I have a suspicious feeling it is coming back if what you are telling me is true. Time will tell.

 

Is there a write up how to flush a metering unit. Also do I need to unscrew DEF nozzle from the back of the SCR box ?

 

I am trying to get help currently on mine

 

A method for flushing the metering unit that I have had success with, is using a sure shot can filled with boiling water, and a 1/4" air line hooked to it. Disconnect air supply to metering unit, pressurize sure shot, and connect air line from sure shot to metering unit air supply inlet, and shoot hot water through the meter unit. Make sure it is getting all the way through the nozzle into the one box. This will disolve crystalized set in the metering unit without dissassembling the meteri b g unit.

 

Hey today my 2012 cascsdia dd15 i did a regen. When it was finished after 40mins the check engine and sold yellow light came on. I drove back to the yard the check engine light went away after i made my first turn.. the solid yellow engine light didnt go away. Now when i parked the truck and turned it back on after 10 mins the solid light went away also. My def level is 3 bars? Please any advice would help thanks.

I’m getting code 4335/1 I replaced the air pressure limited valve and still getting code. But I’m not getting air past the air pressure limited valve. Getting air to it but not past it. Any help?

 

Do I have to clear the codes to get the solid check engine light to turn off and the dash codes to go away?
