Congratulations on your CDL accomplishment and best of luck in your continued training! I drove for Swift but had to go on leave, returning next month :) They are a good company with solid and consistant accounts, I'm sure you will like working there as I did/will. Keep us posted on your progress...

Be careful with that one. A guy got sent home Monday because his drivers license was from one state and his permit from another.

And speaking of time, One guy took his online test in September. He did not know he had to have a certain percentage correct to pass, and he did not find out until he was sent home Monday for failing it.

Everyone double check everything. Don't just take your recruiters word for what you need, or need to do. Be overly prepared, even if you are told you don't need something, get it anyway. It is a long ride back home.

I got the number of my old license. Thanks to a member here! I did it online. Called the recruiter with the number and they said "Oh you have a ticket for 17 over the limit!" "We are cancelling your prehire." I told her it was lowered when I was in court. I thought they had lowered it to 10 over the limit. What really happened when I got the papers from the court house they lowered it to 14 over the limit, lowerd the fine to $10 I had another ticket from 3 years ago that either dropped off on the 16th or 18th. Either that Jan 1 it is definately gone.

She was going to submit the info to the review board.

Good luck! It is better you found that out now rather than after getting there.

Just curious, how far back on your driving record do they go? I have an application in with Swift right now. Waiting to hear from them.

I finally made it back home this morning!

Yesterday Swift transported me and 2 other guys (the other 4 drove home that same day) to the bus station at 0800. I asked the guy picking us up, who was also the same guy who was in the classroom the first day, if we needed confirmation numbers to get our bus tickets. He said just show ID, they already had the confirmation number. He dropped us off and left.

After standing in a very long line to get my ticket, I was told I needed a confirmation number because it was not in the computer. My class mate in front of me was told the same. However the third guy got his ticket and immediately got on a bus.

After finding a place to charge my phone, I called Swift terminal. The lady I talked to said I would have to call my recruiter to get a confirmation number. Well, Unfortunately, my recruiter would not be back at work until the 4th. She did not answer her cell phone or return my calls. The lady then said to call my processor. Wtf is a processor, I wondered, as I dialed the number I was given. Ever who it was that answered, said she was not my processor and transferred me to another processor. Once I finally found my processor and explained everything, she asked me to call her back in a few minutes which I did.

I finally got my confirmation number and went back to stand in another very long line to get my ticket. I was to soon learn that my bus would not go out until 1900 that evening. Luckily, I had brought a book to read. I finally got back to my home town at 0530 this morning. Now I need to work on getting my release form signed and faxed back.

Why not call a swift recruiter and ask them?
