I'm looking at buying a 2008 Freightliner with a DD series 60 with 412,000 original miles. My question is: am I asking for trouble buying a DD series 60 from this year because of the new-at-the-time emissions features?

14 Liter is a good motor. As the emission stuff go bad delete it. It's cheaper to delete than replace and your motor will thank you. I have an 06 all cleaned up that way.
