Your license has zero bearing on your registration. They both go off GVWR sure, but while you can register for less weight, your CDL is based on GVWR and not the registered weight.
What is the GVWR and will this be intrastate or interstate?Lite bug Thanks this. -
I driver for my mom and dads hauling company. I wanted to ask if 1.25 per mile a fair pay. I have to pay for my fuel dead heading to get boat and to go home. Also, I am using their truck. Last run I made 670 and after fuel and expenses I made 120.27.

Most drivers that drive for someone do a 60/40 split. That's pretty standard in the industry if the driver is paying fuel and tolls. -

To be honest it takes some understanding of all the different weights. first if you have a f350 or 3500 or anything of the sort its going to have gross combined vehicle weight rating GCVWR over 26,001lbs (fully loaded truck plus fully loaded trailer) regardless if it really is lfully loaded or not.... its the rating that counts that is over 26,001 lbs this is only one aspect of the calculation... i have an 2015 f250 its GCVRW is 24000..truck has GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING of 10,000lbs and my trailer has a GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING OF 14,000 LBS that eqauls a GROSS COMBINED VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING OF 24,000 lbs no cdl required

I will say this, stay away from d r a d trailers because they are cracking down on that now and I know for a fact that gatormade did not backup to drive from the same company. Non-cdl set up in this last Blitz in a lot of cases after they inspected paperwork and the truck they pulled them back around to the scale and drop the trailer from the truck. Then they added that way to the capacity of the truck which put most non CDL setups with d-rated trailers in violation. I've been telling you guys for years with the influx of new hotshot drivers and a vast majority of Hot Shot involve accident but the biggest thing is non compliant they're cracking down and they're going to end that
