Question about an inverter?

    Good point. If he used the wires from one of those truck stop kits they’re probably not heavy enough for high wattage loads.
    I use welding cable, O or 2/O gauge

    Might be the inverter itself needs replacing.

    Outlets not working is a sign of this. Arcing at the ground could mean the negative connection to the batteries is faulty, or it's being caused by the inverter itself shorting because it's failing. This shorting could also explain why it's saying low voltage even when the truck is running.

    At the very least, have you checked all the cables and made sure there where no holes rubbed in them from vibration, such as where they exit the cab to go to your batteries, and made sure they were tightly attached to the batteries AND to the inverter?

    Burner was used while rigs on..the tv, ps4, and charger use when off..but the inverter has 4 wires..and they are 0 gauges which is 2 + and 2 - ..I have a STRONGWAY 3,000watt I bough at Northerntool...

    Yes the wires were all tightly secured...just the ground wires had to be replaced..but gathering all the info yall have given me...it does seem like I do need a new inverter...

    Im a she lol..and I decided not to buy from a truck stop..I actually got some from an audio store..they are 0 gauges..

    Beware audio store wire, they sell tinned and coated junk, its frequently not actually the size it says it is, its made for amp delivery, which is not the same as what you need it for (inverter power)

    Exact tool and wire ive used, crimps listed are fine, used those, but could be better, may be better just buying exact size you need (variety pack of lugs listed go 8 to 2 gauge)
