Oh yeah you're right. I remember having to order a Stryker cable.

I notice the same trend in power tools now. You go to buy the tool and the battery and charger are separate items. Ridiculous

 

Yeap..Roby or robi what ever it is,is like that..Brother got me a drill and impact combo for my b day a yr or two ago and it came with charger n battery...I was looking at a leaf blower to well blow leaves and blow dry my truck off and the charger n battery were seperate..

 

Radio manufacturers want to increase interest and activity in radio products, and all of them can make radios in any frequency and any mode with which they think they can make a profit.

So, stirring up interest in the "new and improved" varieties is in their self-interest.

I see no manufacturer being threatened by GMRS.
