I talk a lot of trash about swift and their drivers but it's only because I'm a trucker, from the outside looking in they do look like a great company that has it together. My only gripe is none of these mega carriers pay drivers what their worth. Anything under .55cpm is distasteful imo.

I think @Moosetek13 is making 63 or 64 cpm with Swift right now with some pretty nice vacation and bonus money.

I'm currently scheduled to orientate for a dedicated account here in CT, NJ, PA and NY doing railcar. Need your TWIC for it. It pays .60cpm, $40 D/H and part time Fr-Mon. I choose the schedule which I chose 7pm-6am. I'm looking a $385.00 a night with a minimum of 2019 truck up to 2022. I have to pickup the truck in Avenel, NJ once I finish my 1-day orientation. $300 for orientation and fuel reimbursement but not tolls reimbursement. FULL DISCLOSURE...I run my own numbers and have a truck and trailer. Family issues are steering me back to going part-time because my wife's job has the benefits. I can run otr or regional because we have a 6 month old baby so we need the benefits. I stay home during the day and depend on Amazon for night runs but their load board is so slow I haven't moved the truck except on the weekends. I might as well sell my truck, trailer and just drive part time for someone else under these circumstances. I'm gonna give it a shot until January and determine whether to stick with it or my wife quit her job and I be the breadwinner paying for healthcare as a business expense. Got a quote for $2200 a month for a family of 6. I have a perplexed situation but that Swift gig is worth trying.

Maverick Griff and HaglerFan Thank this.

I make .64, but keep in mind that is as a regional driver and I am topped out on the pay scale.
    No more yearly increases.
Regional drivers make .08 more than OTR, but with no sliding pay scale.
