    Greetings from Texas,

I'm seriously considering starting a trucking company with 1 truck, go from there and see what happens. Currently, I'm in the information gathering phase so I figured I'd come on here and introduce myself:

Originally from Austin, Tx and my Dad was a truck driver for about 10 years (O.O. with Landstar his last 5 years). I served 11 years active duty in the Marine Corps as a pilot (FW manned and unmanned), and currently have about 8 months left in an MBA program. I've tried working for a major credit union for a little bit but ultimately left because I'm passionate about establishing and building an organization myself. I actually got the idea from an old instructor from flight school who did the same thing, just started 4 years ago and is pretty successful today. After some initial research, this seems like a good opportunity but if it was easy everyone would be doing it. So I'm here to soak up information, experience, maybe recruit if I start sending rounds down range.

Personally, I have an irrational love for 3rd gen Trans Ams and my hobby is to take trashed ones and restore them. God is good always.

Looking forward to seeing where this path leads.

www.OOIDA.com is a good place to start. This is a business website for the owner-operator and small fleet owner.
