    Hey folks....Im now stumped....

For the longest time i have not been completely happy with my ant set up..I have the latest body of the cascadia and never was happy with ant set up..Only ant i can get to work de iently is my 102 on a 10" riser..My 10 has me cuttin whip way to short,7ft skip shooter is the same and i tested 4 of them...On my previous evelution it was really good but not so much on this one(its a 19 i think)..So to help my ant set up i got some bond straps and installed on my door and "ASSUMED" all was good UNTIL, I saw some much better results on same truck style..
I went out yesterday with a multi meter to see if my bond straps were showing any amount of resistence goin from door to cab via hinges..Not a bloody thing..I could touch my probes(yes that sounds kinky/dirty lol)on door side of hinge to cab side where i have my bond strap and a # would show up then screen would show as if i just turned on the meter and did nothin else...
Now...I tested my mirror bolts to my ss bracket and i have 3 ohms of resistence..So it seems im ok there but im confused as to why nothin from door side to cab side..Wondering if its the aluminum bolts washers n door skins nulling everything out..
Cant believe i waited this long to test my bonds..Thats what i get for assumeing i suppose..

    Any suggestions??

Sounds like the washers are acting as an insulator. Can you remove washers and test straps again?

Nope..Those washer dont come off the bolt..Was thinkin to either add a ss washer or replace some of the hinge bolts..

Okay, well the ss washers will need to be thin or I assume the bolt heads could bind while closing the door. You might have to replace both washers and bolts, then when you swap trucks someday, you can put the old bolts/washers back in. You would just have to remember where you put them. You can experiment on one strap since its just two bolts and see if you get better readings on the ohm meter.

I'm running into the same thing regarding grounds on the same year Cascadia! 2 on the driver's door, 1 on the passenger door and 1 from top to bottom cab shock mount. No change in analyzer results. I'm thinking of trying star lock washers on both sides of the ground straps so they bite through the paint. My readings aren't terrible but they definitely could use improvement.

Im ot much better..Im by far better on 40 than 1 but i cant lengthen my 102 on the riser anymore...Had a 10k on to try and it was maken my ant needing to be shorter n shorter..Same with my 7ft skip shooters. I have an old one that i pulled out the nail and cut the wire winding a lil and retune with nail but even then the results were not the best...Something about this batch im assumeing thats different than previous..I managed to find some ss washers but none of those stars washers..Got another place to try tomorrow...Gonna see if i can find some ss bolts to match cause those alim have a built on washer witch kills things im thinkin..

I don’t have the info here, it is in storage so can’t share how to do this but i wonder if you guys used your antenna analyser to measure the ground system on your trucks because it should be the opposite of the radiating element electrically speaking.

    jdchet Thanks this.

Nope i used my multi meter to see if there is a connection between door and cab via a bond strap..#'s would show up for half of a half of a half second lol then go back to a screen as if i only turned on my meter..
Gonna run out now and try again with a mag to see if anything sticks..
