I apologize in advance further long paragraph. I just terminated from my job today for refusing to take a load. I had just made a thread about this company called Dhaliwal Brothers Trucking and the illegal crap that the owners Jassi, Sonny, and Jasprit pull off and somehow get away with. I haven't been paid in going on a month now because I'm never able able get to the yard when the guy who does payroll is there to do paychecks. The way payroll works is that when you are at the yard you turn in all of you're BOL's from you're trip and give it to dispatch then they calculate you're miles and it takes 24 hours for payroll to process it and then you get you're check and cash it in. Unfortunately the owner Jassi who handles payroll hasn't been at the office much and every time I get to the yard he is gone and no one else can do the payroll so I haven't been paid for the last 3 trips. I told them I was going home after this delivery and not going back out until they paid me the 2 checks they owe me they started a new policy that the most current check must be held to keep as a deposit to prevent truck abandonment since it's been a huge issue recently last month I had to fly out twice to recover a truck. I was told I needed to pick up a load going to Houston and I refused since my account is overdrawn and my girlfriend just had to pay my phone bill and our rent. I was told to either pick up the load or bring the truck back and that i was fired so I brought the truck back and one of the owners told me they are going to scar my DAC so that I won't be able to get another job. I took pictures and a video of the truck at the yard so hopefully they can't try and say I abandoned the truck. Is it worth trying to find another job after this? I already have had 3 jobs. My first was at Western Express and had to leave because even though I was getting really good miles with them and I just couldn't survive off the paychecks I was getting since CPM was only. 34 I think on a sliding pay scale and also getting any hometime was almost impossible with them and it was too hard on my girlfriend and kid to not be able to see me for almost 4 months. My second job was with a Russian LLC out of Chicago who one day out of the middle of nowhere re routed me and every other truck back to the yard because he had been shut down, my third was with Dhaliwal and I also attended an orientation with a company in Oklahoma but didn't get hired because I didn't know how to drive a 13 speed and they only had a few 10's avaliable. Is it worth trying to find another carrier to take me on after this or should I go back to the oilfields? I've been looking for a job for the past couple of weeks but most companies have said no, a few have said yes like John Christner, Heartland Express, Gilson, K&B but I don't want to risk getting on a plane for orientation and getting sent back home. I also don't want to be in a situation where in a few months down the road I am looking for a new job again, I am sick of job hopping
Possibly finding another job with a termination

Based off what you said you knew that truck shouldn’t have rolled out of the yard if the paper ain’t straight. It doesn’t look good that you got 3 companies on your resume but it’s not the end of the world as we know a guy here haha. If you have a clean record you should be ok.. but you gotta stay away from these shady companies. I’d look for something local. Take the best local you can get right now then re-apply later down the road if you need something better pay/schedule wise once you have the experience.

Don’t know which fuel companies carry what reputation up there but I’m in favor of hauling fuel. It’s not for everybody, however next to line haul it’s bread and butter.. They only want one year but if you put together A resume and give ‘em a phone call you may be hired tomorrow. You’ll sleep in your own bed every night and be making stops in your own neighborhood. Sure you gotta deal with the people. But it’s a new experience every day. Despite sometimes doing the same stops.. job is easy just have to respect itAnother Canadian driver, scott180, Pamela1990 and 2 others Thank this.
