New to trucking - considering taking the 320 hour course from NATIONAL TRACTOR TRAILER SCHOOL here in Buffalo, NY.

They are PTDI certified - has anyone heard of them?

I would not waste my time going there. A friend spent over 10k to go thru the 15 week course. They train you on old equipment they use cab overs yet. Some of the instructors are just plain old mean sob's. Look at a company that offers training. It will be cheaper just stay away from CR England.

I myself dont know anything about the school you have mentioned, but I am sure someone here will.

I can also tell you that going with a company that offers training more often than not requires you to sign a contract that you will work for that company for how ever long they specify.....almost EVERYONE will tell you to go to an independant school to get your CDL, then find a company to work for. Being obligated to work for a company puts you behind the eight ball so to speak, you have to put up with their "stuff" until the contract is up, or quit and face penalties or deal with them possibly messing with your DAC.......

I have checked them with the BBB of New York, and have found" no complaints in the 3 year reporting period...

I am posting this link that is to the page I read at the BBB about them. Hope this helps a little bit.:sunny:
