Build your own. It is nothing more than a super insulated room with a high powered split air conditioner. Start with 2X4 walls on 24"centers with a 2X6 joist ceiling. Then 2" ridged foam insulation outside, then spray-foam between the joists and studs. lay 2 or 3" ridged foamboard on the floor covered by 3/4" plywood. a 1" or 2" foamboard inside the walls and ceiling and covered with plywood or FRP and add linoleum on the floor and 4to 6 inches up each wall. build your door from 1X6 or 1X8 pine with linoleum covering 1/4"plywood inside and out. A one or two ton minisplit a/c unit that can cool to below 0*f and a couple fans in the corners and you are done.
The developments in foamboard and spray-foam not to mention SIP (structural building panels) and minisplit a/c units has made small walk-in cooler/freezers in farmers basements here in Sask a favored add-on. Some are going with a super insulated cold-room with 2 or more chest freezers in and lots of shelving for produce and preserves, meaning a minisplit only has to cool to 35*f (2*c) and can actually be made to add heat in the winter (vented in summer) that helps with the heating/cooling bill and the electric bill is 5% or less up.singlescrewshaker, dwells40, Lostkeys and 8 others Thank this. -
Me and some buddies started up a hunting club back in the mid 90's. We bought an old 28' reefer trailer for like $2500, I think it was, it had a personnel door on the side of it already, pulled out the landing gear and axle, painted it camo, and set it on the ground. One of our members was a mechanic in a trucking companies shop so if we had any problems with the unit, which I don't recall ever having, he could work on it. We built shelves and hangars for the Deer meat inside of it, a lean to on the outside with hangers and a cutting table, worked out perfectly.
You can still buy a pre-DEF pup reefer for less than $10,000, some even around $5000.

3 loads of corn delivered, then intermission and trailer swap. Still not so sure why I decided to use my "hustle" on a Monday yet.
But since @singlescrewshaker on vacation, I'm trying to cover for him.singlescrewshaker, TripleSix, Lostkeys and 15 others Thank this. -
Wildwood, FL this evening.

So those few nights last week of cold-er air really spoiled me.
And now we’re back to mid 80s and humidity, barely getting into the low 70s at night, down here in the southeast and I’m NONE TOO HAPPY ABOUT IT.singlescrewshaker, Lostkeys, Brettj3876 and 8 others Thank this. -
Had a good meal at IHOP last time I was there — I mean, it’s IHOP and it’s inflated as everything else is nowadays, but I felt like they still attempted to give me a believable portion.singlescrewshaker, clausland, Lostkeys and 9 others Thank this.
