Hi guys. I am a new AZ driver in Ontario looking for work but am having a hard time getting someone to give me a chance. I am in Timmins,ON. Any advice you can give me for getting my first year of experience? Good starter companies? Thank you

Apply around Toronto, you’ll get on. Check Indeed & Kijiji.

I started driving cube vans six months.
3 ton box trucks two years. Single axle tractors pulling pups one year. Then highway tractors.

There’s some Megas in Canada that will put you out with a Trainer. Look up Bison, they’re western but have a yard in Ontario. They pull van and maybe reefer and they have a flatbed division out of Winnipeg as well.

Living in Timmins I’d call chip hauling companies to see if you can get your foot in the door .

Find a job that doesn't require to ride with a trainer, that's an unnecessary waste of your time, stay local like log hauling in that area, super easy work and good pay.

I don't see why they wouldn't, easy non city driving, I've been driving a decade and it's literally the least stressful job Ive had.

Thanks man that's crazy, I thought they only let the expeirianced ones do logging. I've always been interested in it. Where do you recommend I go and apply? I watch indeed closely but haven't seen any logging positions. By the way, like your name. The mach 1 is an awesome car my old man had one, used to drive it all the time. Torch red. Cheers!
