I had left the industry for a few years, came back January 2020, got approved through Penny Mac last October. Give them a try. I will say, we had a mortgage through them previously though.

How about your bank? They can see that youve had steady income for how ever long you have been banking with them. Thats what I did just over a year ago. I never have liked the idea of doing financial business with someone in not familiar with... I always start with a call to my banker.

This!!!! Way back I was thinking the same thing. It’s almost like a discriminatory thing against truck drivers. Here we work in an industry where the job demand is literally second to none. And I don’t say that lightly. There’s a job for us waiting around every corner. Yet if we change jobs or anything they nitpick us and throw our loan applications out. In my case I believe I’m more qualified than 99.9% of people who apply for loans. Yet I’m disqualified?
Bottom line is statistically speaking there’s a better chance that I will get struck by lightning that I would default from my loan. Every aspect of my life is secure. Even if I became disabled my income would be sustained. It’s ridiculous.

I basically spelled out A scenario that whatever home they gave me A loan for would Be paid off within 2 to 3 years. As I’ve always done.

Nope, not happening. We’re going to give it to this guy over here works two jobs, has a credit score of 580 a couple past bankruptcies, has never finish paying off a loan in his life. Rents his furniture in his apartment. Lol but no, not you evil truck driver man.

Try Rocket (intuit) mortgage. They have integrity. I just refinanced my home with them. Ray Bruening is who handled it. Guy has got integrity.

If you are a member of Costco, they have deals with lenders that can save you $$. The fact you were turned down was lender related, my guess and not your profession. I've used a small bank out of Kansas City called NBKC, extremely satisfied and they won't f*** you with fees. Otherwise I would shop around locally. Rocket Mortgage is good, but expensive in my opinion and experience.

The neighbors will love having an air bnb next door .

Having short term renters who smoke pot and have loud parties and leave trash all over the neighborhood and damage the neighbors parked cars when they are doing their drink hit and runs etc

My town is considering rules to basically tax and ban air Bnb’s out of existence . And I can’t wait .

the overwhelming majority of people who rent air bnb are just trash.

Been doing Airbnb for six years in various settings. So your stereotypes are not going to go over. I’ve rented to literally hundreds of people and do you know how many problem guests I’ve had? Two. And even those were trivial issues I had to deal with. One was a mother and daughter who are homeless and brought in about 30 loads of laundry to do and did not want to leave in time when their check out was ready.
Another just messy. Stained towels etc…Other then that? Most of the time what I would re-enter into the condo or apartment or mother-in-law’s quarters that I rent it out I could not even tell anyone I had stayed there. Often times guests would leave me chocolates or a bottle of wine or a card as a thank you gesture.

No I probably avoided problem guests by screening. I mean if I have two Young women who want to celebrate their 21st birthday rent for me, obviously I’m probably going to decline. Lol no groups, no parties, no loud music, none of that.
