So heres a rough guide. At 15 mph 6. I plus 5 is 6. So at 25 mph 2 plus 5 is seven so 7. So at 35 3. +5 is 8. And at 45 is 9 cause 4+5 is 9. That’s how I learned to up shift. So on down shift I would downshift 15 or 16 rpm’s just really depends on the truck. Now what I do is listen to the engine.
