Hey guys i know their lots of videos and other post about the engine fan not turning off but ive already replaced several main things that would be the problem, along with checking for potential shorts.

So far i changed the fan solenoid, ac high pressure switch, both pressure switches on the dryer.

    I have a scan gauge kr. codes are reading id 6 fm 12 / id 61 fm 08 / id 181 fm 15 / id 50 fm 04 / id 168 fm 3

I have a new water temp sensor and engine fan coolant switch to put on....I will install those 2 and hope that solves the issue, if not ill have to take it to the stealership i guess cause wont know what else it could be other than maybe the intake temp sensor?

Thank you for your time. Drive safe!

I forgot to metion that if i put direct air the fan will turn off so how could it be the fan clutch?

Coolant temperature sensor for fan? I have older engines that didn't go through ecm.

Could be an air leak in the clutch. Air through the control valve will not supply enough air volume but direct air does?

I read it somewhere online. I will replace mine anyways since it freaks out sometimes so lets see if that does it. If not i must have some type of wiring problem or short.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I left it direct cause the fan being on along with 18+ mph winds here in Texas was killing my fuel today, So yea direct works perfect i just cant have my AC on when stopped. Worse case i will wire a relay with a switch to control the fan manually. Any repair shop will have a feast with you on diag time, especially the stealership. Id say atleast 1k to fix the problem.

There are 2 sensors on your ac system, 1 for high pressure and 1 for low side. 1 of the 2 sensors also controls your radiator fan clutch. If the clutch pads are not missing pieces and the fan doesn’t slip easy with no air applied then check the ac sensors, or coolant temperature sensor, there may be more than 1 coolant sensor. 1 at the thermostat housing and 1 at the block. Or air switch for fan clutch, it’s electronically actuated

Yea i still have to change the water temp sensor thats in back of the head, i know its not good because sometimes it freaks out and will read really hot or cold then go back to normal. Hopefully thats the problem. Ive already replaced all the other possible sensors for the ac and fan solenoid. Worst case i will just send direct 12v power to the fan solenoid and control it with manually with ground switch.

Mr Turbospeed: I have read and reread this post. I have no idea what brand of truck you have and what year it is. The brand of engine and fan clutch is also a mystery.
Someone, Goodysnap I thank, Suggested an information block for these type questions. Year, model, serial #, ETC. Some people that could help won't bother because they do not have a crystal ball.
    BCK over and out.
