Painted with rust-restore primer then some ice blue
(to match the truck) and that tank is gayronteed lifetime!
Great job.Lostkeys, cke, Brettj3876 and 11 others Thank this. -
Thanks, it came out pretty good, will outlast me & the truck. Still have a ways to go on @jamespmack favorite 7100, but have all winter in the shop to get it done. Hopefully, this will replace the C70 come Spring, that's the plan at this point. Still looking for another mechanical DT466 (88-93) just to have for parts, downtime because of no parts sucks...Lostkeys, cke, Brettj3876 and 9 others Thank this.

The 94-95 dt466s were the most desirable ones. They came with a better bosch p7100 inline fuel pump. There was some updates to the air intake system as well.
We had one as our spare unit. You could not release the key fast enough and it would be running. Everytime.
96 they went with their version of heui.
I have 3 of those. 2 of em blew up. 1 I fixed, 1 I scrapped. Running costs have been quadruple on those.Lostkeys, cke, Brettj3876 and 11 others Thank this. -
Apparently cash kills here in WY.
This sign was at the fuel desk.

I stop here for two reasons.
1: always parking, no matter what.
2: as far as I know, the cheapest fuel this side of Wyoming.
