:biggrin_255:Howdy All! Has anyone participated in US Express' lease-purchase plan within the last year? If so, would you please share your experience with this forum? Thanks in advance...

I haven't leased from them but I work for them and talk to the lease drivers. It's not a good deal. They have so many lease drivers now that lease drivers don't get the good treatment like they use to. Talk to some of them first. If they tell you they are making good money then ask them how much they are putting back for taxes. They will say huh? I suggest before you decide you talk to someone who has leased for a few years and someone who just started.

    Good luck

i"m leasing at usx and do ok.i wouln"t call it a lease purchase though, the buy out is impossible.its a truck rental program, you make money from miles run x (mileage rate which is progreesive + fuel surchage, which rises and falls upon the price of fuel and there is a table in the contract) less expenses.extra drops and pick ups per run are paid and sometimes detention over 2 hours depending on shipper or receiver contract.A penny a mile is lost to ifta tax,5c to a maintenance account and 2c to a new tire account.$2400 is refunded at contact end to compensate.the rest carries over to the truck.

    benefits.its walk away.no like,go company or quit.
2500 mils a week will get you paid.
pilot fuel progam saves ave 15c to 30c a gallon.
prepass is paid,ez pass is paid.fl,ok,ks toll and weighs are on you.
per diem is $65 a day per night out.comes off of your bottm line at year end.talk to an accountant about that.atbs tax service can deduct $15 a week to send monthly statements and quartelys.thats your perogative not usx..

drawback. if you like it at home go company.the payment clock ticks regardless.

a week in the shop lease payments are suspended.
any questions just ask.you need min 1 year exp

    Cstefan.
Hey, that post was from 2 years ago.
Since then leased a different truck and paid it off through USX.
As a rule of thumb you will make 63c per mile after diesel costs.
Take home pay depends on cost of truck, mine was $450 plus ins etc.so about $550 Per week.

Call and get a quote first. They have different aged trucks available on different days so it can vary.

    Simple math. 2600 x .63 =1638 minus 550 equals $1088 per week.
