I am new to this site and still trying to navigate it. I am also new to the CDL industry itself. There is so much to learn, "soak in", and understand. I have done more research and education than anyone can imagine about the industry and yet the constant change and depth of information on my own is unimaginable. It's truly a full time job and I am not even a driver yet. I just recently signed up with the site and in minutes had a question answered i have been searching for. You simply can't google everything. Maybe I have not found it yet and if its up there I apologize. I have not yet found a dedicated topic thanking the men and women with experience in this industry for the time they take and the years of knowledge on the road they provide to everyone. Knowledge is in my mind more valuable than money. My first response was from Chinatown so I thank you! Thanks for taking the time to help someone when it's not your job to do so.

There are several threads scattered about TTR in which the poster has thanked truck drivers for the work we do, and I appreciate those that post those threads.

@Chinatown acts as an excellent source for cdl schools and starting companies.

Much of driving semi trucks is knowing what NOT to do and the interwebs are chock full of videos that demonstrate precisely that.

Be sure to thank the drivers who are not causing mayhem on our highways, industrial parks, or truck stops. Lord knows certain drivers are boneheads and don't know what a trash can is for.

Everybody here has experience in the industry and will speak up if you have questions.. if you think it, odds are somebody here has gone through the same exact thing… we’d rather you ask than not and do something stupid. That goes for everything I’d say this site is the epitome of “Been there, hauled that”

2000 Up votes!! I found this site a month or so ago and it is now my first go to place. I have held class A X endorsement licenses since I was 19. I am 67 now, have been involved in the industry directly and indirectly all of my life. I have driven a lot of old iron, kept junk cobbled together, and leaned the hood over to marvel at the beauty of an engine that can stand the hard mile long pull out of the woods in 4th, and on the governor I just put her through.
I love this site and have grown to really like these people! I look so forward to hearing from them all like I have known them a long time. I have learned a large amount from these friends I don’t know. I love the friendly atmosphere amount them! No bickering, cussin one another out, just friends being friends. So refreshing, I hope y’all stay at it a long time.
I recently bought another friend to use for myself. I rescued 03 Columbia single axle out of the farthest West state of which was a one owner, that is an absolute gem. Other than broken dash piece. When I figger out how one day I’ll proudly put up a picture.
I thank everyone of you guys for your sacrifices and love of the industry. We really do move America!!
