Whether we all do it or not.....look it up in yer lil CDL manual it will tell you it’s not the right way to turn right from left lane. The truck turning would be sighted either a lane violation which any lane violation is in the serious category 2 serious offenses in a 3 yr period equals a 90 day suspension or an improper turn. Intentions known or not you take the consequences when you do it illegally.

Ok Don, you know what I know, there are really piss poor drivers out there who can not drive a truck and should not be on the road.

Those companies would have gotten a copy of the video, these are the drivers I fear the most because they don’t watch what is coming up in the other lanes.

I know exactly where this is, been there more than enough, there is room to get a truck through there without curbing the trailer, no excuses for that.

for those who want to know where this is

thank you, im not that old but at 46 i still like 8 inch pipes. used to be straight pipe all the way through but now inline muffler with 7 inch buy 31" muffler under the truck. Straight pipe started making my ears ring at night because like the driver window down on nice days. so with a little muffling, all good and sounds better i think.

i came off the ramp opposite of that mishap 5 times since then and have been watching tractor traffic. only had the luxury of watching one sleeper truck come through there because of timing since then. hooked that truck through there no problem starting in turning lane.

You can't make a right turn into two lanes with a rounded curb on your right?

Ohh, it the traffic... you just have to wait...

I don't care how long you wait for traffic to clear, you're not going to buttonhook a turn from 155 onto 16 in Griffin at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. I will take up as much of the road as I need to get around the turn without causing dumbshits in cars to do stupid stuff like backing into another car,

If the state of Georgia is too retarded to create a setback turn lane on 16, it's not my problem.

Without reading all the posts, I will say you, the driver need to drive your vehicle AND the other guys vehicle too. In other words, allow for the other guy to screw up and make a mistake, just as the one in the video does. When making a right turn in a CMV, we always keep an eye on the right lane just to make sure a 4 wheeler doesn't come flying up and tyry to squeez in, right ?

Did you see how rounded that curb on the right was?
You only need to worry about where the kingpin and pivot point of the trailer tandems (or spread) is.
Well... and your front bumper. :)
