Advertised pay is typically just bait, always research the company and their internal culture, equipment, safety record, etc. You'll be happier at a place that won't skin you alive; and work along with you in all the struggles associated with commercial transport. Good luck finding them unicorns.

thanks the whole bait and switch is what i’m worried about leave the company i’ve been with for coming up to 10 years and 4 weeks vacation and then get screwed over by making less money -
The few Gibson drivers I have talked to in the past have said that most days they want you to work your full 14 hours. I can believe Gibson saying you'll make that, too bad they leave out you'll have to work 70 hours a week to get that.

i seen lots of reviews on indeed saying the same thing they want u to max out your 70 hours and that u only get enough time off for a reset and then back in the truck . Maybe that’s why they always need drivers and they haul ### even if the roads are bad in the winter months .Anyone know anything about J.E culp from beamsville i’ve seen their red trucks any know they haul garbage but that’s it.All i know is as much as i like working local for Kriska $48k ytd is a joke in my book unfortunatelyLast edited: Oct 31, 2021

Chances are if you are going to work somewhere to make the big bucks you're going to have do something you don't want to do, use your max hours, reset on the road, hand bomb, run the east coast. That's why the are paying big coz no one else wants to do it either.

starting to realize the bi pay jobs also come with a lot of baggage.im forcing my self to work 12 hrs a day 4:30pm-04:30am and going home on my friday at 9-10hrs . sometimes my company is too soft and because dispatch is over seas now they don’t fight us . if i want to shut down at 2am they have no problem with it i’ve been getting lazyLast edited: Nov 9, 2021

All companies tend to advertise bloated annual income based on working every hour possible…I’ll stick with 4 8 hour line haul runs a week…I see the health of guys working 70 hours year after year and it not pretty…obesity, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue leading to heart disease,,,all the good stuff. No surprise so many drivers keel over shortly after retirement if they make it,,,one of our high milers died in truck this year,,,6 months from retirement…lifestyle related
