Very poor to non-existent communication with Randy T & R Ghoulsbe (who is a complete fool)…. dispatch is home of incorrect to zero information
Very unfriendly environment, i knew from day one that this was going to be short term (i lasted 6 months +)
If you are expecting a warm welcome from the aloof freak leader, John Allen Titsworth, forget it. He doesn’t want to know your name because you will not be there past 3- 6 months. His operating philosophy of “run it till it quits” will leave you stranded w/o motel, w/o per diem, w/o breakdown pay…. you will be on your own.
Mike Smith, my trainer, turns out to be a thief.
Current trainer, Cecil Whalebelly, is a beauty
i had a Pete with SCR issues go down on a Tuesday, rode 3 hours to get another Pete with the same issues went down 3 days later stranding me for 4 days…. zero per diem and zero breakdown pay and zero support, only reimbursed me a portion of my motel bill ( lofty $86/ night before tax in Caseyville, IL)
The best thing about Basin is they will hire you if you can fog a mirror. Their yard has beaucoup Petes idle for lack of drivers. Sign on “bonus” is pure con as you will not be there past 6 months.
Good luck with time off ( as with most carriers) and prepare for beaucoup lies from dispatch.
Only two people you can trust: Ted Glover & Steve Weatherford…. beware of the rest of that back-stabbing crew

Went down to oklahoma to do orientation. Drove one of their trucks down. Was promised a certain job. When i got there they changed all the specifics and tried to put me on a job that i already turned down. Route guy didnt even know about the 150 air mile exception. Totally didnt live up to what they told me. Then wouldnt even pay for the rental car for me to come home, to Ohio. Very unprofessional company. Do NOT Trust!!!!

Sorry you had to experience this hand.
Should have checked the internet first. A lot of MF out there trying to sucker a driver into working for a month or 6 before taking em for more than the cost of getting home!
Consider yourself fortunate.Lonesome Thanks this. -

I wasn't responding directly to your quote but to the notion that a company who screws a driver over twice when they misrepresent the job is not somehow responsible. Not to get him home but for the whole mess.
He had to get to OK for orientation but was able to recover an abandoned rig(presumed) and was put in the position he refused before he started.
Worked for the outfit, obviously pulling in revenue for them and when he couldn't deal w the bs he bailed.
Of course he isn't getting a free ride home.
My money says he doesn't even get his last checks.
Point being they owe him much more than he owes the company.
Not dissing you It just burns me companies continue to do this kind of thing.Last edited: May 11, 2022
