Volvo trucks

    Hi Guys/Gals,

    I'm still in search of my first truck. I've heard to stay away from Volvos because the parts are hard to get and they are quite expensive. My question is what does this mean? Is this in reference to the body parts or the drivetrain as well. I found a Volvo with a Detroit 12.7 and a 13speed tranny, so I wouldn't think it was the motor and tranny but are the rears volvo parts?

    That is the best tranny engine combo. Rears are not Volvo parts.

    I would say right now Volvo is one of the best places to get parts. I have heard everyone having issues but when I go to get stuff for my 2014 Volvo with D13 I have no problems. Not sure they are anymore expensive then any newer truck.
