Yea its ok, I did an install on my modded super star and got it to do bout 50 watts. I ordered a non modded radio to install the rfx75 to see the out come, I heard some guys got theres doing about 155watts in a cobra 29. if thats true, im gonna stick that sucker in my KW!
-
155watts in a cobra 29?
I would love to see that on a GOOD meter and what the output looked like on a specrum scope .... running 20 - 200 mhz ..... -
go to utube and do a search for Cobra 29 w/rfx75 black chrome 2nd test, thats the guy that got his to do 155watt, and as for the meter! yes its a bird.
-
I would LOVE to see what the output looked like many I have seen put out large amounts of junk ......
The transistor is only good for 75 watts pep ...
And YES I own a bird too ..... -
Doug at custom cb radios has a video of him doing one on a cobra 29 that did about 110 watts and was very clean on the scope.
-
what about 155 ?
-
His web site said " You can see about 90+ watts of swing from this hot rod " I can beleve that ...
-
I find 155 very hard to believe, and if anybody got that I believe it would be mostly nothing but over-modulated splatter.

The RFX is junk....wayy too many harmonics for me. I'd rather have 25 watts on frequency than 80 all over the band just making my meter look good.
