I'm pretty content here. I did general liquid bulk from when I started until recently, when I was invited to be a dedicated customer driver... still OTR, still doing bulk liquid. Only difference is I get a daily pay. They pay what they say their going to pay as well... as long as your paperwork is in by the cutoff you will get paid.

Mileage is paid on HHG. Shortest and most unpractical. They have given raises recently, topping out at .75cpm... I don't know all the details on that, however. I just know what I received.

The safety bonus is based on Smart Drive events... 0 - 30 points you get an extra .06 cpm, 31-60 you get an extra .02 cpm for every mile driven the previous months, paid out the 3rd week of the following month. I've received .06 twice, and .02 once... and will receive .02 for October. Stupid minor things on my own part that caused me to receive .02. As long as you are not an aggressive or offense type of driver .06 is very achievable.

Don't really have a lot of time for 34's (at least I haven't). I think since June i've taken 3 in total with one at the house coming out of Laredo, and it was because there were time on the loads to allow me. It is the exception to get a 34 if you manage your clock well. I try not to run more than 9 hours a day when possible which allows me to continually run nearly non-stop. Not always practical, however.

In general freight you really want to have Hazmat as we pull a lot of it. I have my passport too but have yet to go to canada. In most cases if it is headed that way I drop it at a yard where there are dedicated canada drivers and they take it on... at least that is my experience.

What else would you like to know?

    tscottme and Mike528 Thank this.

Do they require Hazmat on your license?
Had it years ago and let it go...
I'm only interested in dedicated or regional routes. What kind of money are u bringing home a week? What is the average cpm?
I hauled sum liquid before and also sum dry bulk powder. Liquid was much easier..
    Thanks for the input..

Hazmat isn't required, but it is 40% of their general freight. You also get an extra .05cpm loaded when you pull hazmat on top of your base pay.
I was netting anywhere from 1300 - 1800 depending on how the loads panned out for the week on general freight. Now that I'm dedicated I make 1600 net a week steady. I'm not sure the actual average cpm for the fleet but but I believe much of it is in the mid to upper 50s cpm. If your regional Chicago or Savannah you will probably get a combo truck, giving you the ability to pull and offload either liquid or bulk. I've only pulled liquid, but from some of the horror stories I've heard with bulk i'll stick with liquid.

Yeah I was wondering if that guy from Texas is still with us I have a feeling he’s not so I’ve been looking at either running out of Elizabeth town or over the road seems like it’s pretty good money to be made there just the only drawback is a long time do you care to comment
