Well, since weight isn't in the fmcsa medical handbook as limiting factor, he's wrong no matter what else he claims.

Provided I can articulate the experience and abilities to our insurance provider, and the potential operator passes a road test with flying colors, who are we to say that the person is not a safe driver? A majority of these ideas have been ingrained into the industry by the mega carriers who want more drivers that they can pay a pittance to move cheap freight.Speed_Drums and Zangief Thank this. -
I've been watching some YouTube videos to brush up on some of the things that I could be a little rusty on. I felt very comfortable the last time I drove a truck, though, so I'm hopeful that it won't be too big of a transition to "get back in the saddle" of an 18-wheeler. I'm planning to just take it slow and be extra careful until I'm back in the swing of things. -
