I just purchased my first truck which is a 1999 Volvo VNL610. When I turn on the blower for the heat/AC from the dash, I can hear the blower motor blowing as it should but it's not blowing through the vents. Can someone advise me on how to fix this?

    thank you.

have you looked to see if there is a blockage at the motor? maybe evaporator fins are clogged? are all the tubes connected?

If you need to replace the blower motor, there's a video. I'd start by making sure the vents are actually open. Then I'd make sure the condenser isn't getting plugged with debris or freezing up. I've only taken mine apart once to replace the thermostat. I'm not sure if you could use compressed air or a shop vac or leaf blower in the vent to check for blockages. Just be careful not to damage the condenser, and make sure you don't lose any of the plastic gears or pieces that control the blend door. I personally would just replace the blower motor if it's only like $200, but there's probably a better way to diagnose it before throwing parts at it.

Is it blowing in the dash or floor? If so it is the actuator. If it is not blowing at all then it is the blower and easy to replace on your own. Take dash apart and replace.

The fan is blowing but the airflow is not coming through the vents or the floor. Its definitely blowing though.

Check for a plugged cabin air filter. It is outside on the passenger side up by the windshield if I remember right, 2 or 3 screws and you can pull the old one out.
