So after applying to frito lays and martin brower and not hearing anything back with my 13 years experience and clean record and looking through countless ads on indeed of companies paying close or less then what i’m making now . i have been thinking about getting a part job maybe delivering cars from dealerships to owners or driving a G license delivery van or box truck on days off . since there wouldn’t be logs but it’s still considered a commercial vehicle do i need to report it to my company . if i took a part time dz or az job with logs i would have to and it would go against my full time hos

I didn’t quite follow your initial opening. You’re saying you have 13 years of CDL driving experience and a clean record and nobody got back to you? That doesn’t seem possible to me. Or am I not interpreting what you’re saying correctly?

13 years driving experience nothing on my record only want local work screw otr and right now i’m making $23 a hr and $34.50 after 9 hrs . i’m only applying to jobs that pay $27 plus a hr because there’s no point in leaving my current company when i make close to $25 a hr or more . problem with my current company is the work load is all over the place slow busy then slow again and i can’t make more then $60k a year . I have been at current company for 9years and i feel i should be closer to $80k a year .No one is paying for local drivers so im thinking of getting a part time gig. i just want to make sure if i drive a g license van type thing that it doesn’t go against my remaining hos

Technically you are supposed to log all on duty hours including all of your jobs, even if it’s not trucking related.
So you could work up to 70 hrs on your trucking job. Then as many hours as you can stand on the other job. However you would not be able to return to the trucking job until you had a reset.
If you did it the other way around, say 20 hours on the part time gig, then you’d only be able to do 50 hours trucking. -
on indeed i actually did get a response not selected was a little surprised to get that message. -
kriska did say that if i took a part time job driving a tractor trailer or a dz gig i had to inform them and it would go against my 70 hrs. i know i can’t do that especially with only having 25 hrs left on my last day .i just wasn’t sure if say i took a delivery job on my days off with amazon or walmart if it would affect my full time job . i’ve only made $48 k year to date . I like working here but i should be making more the $55k a year but no one bugs here or forces me to do unsafe work or work crazy hrs . most i do is 12hrs a day average is 10-11hrs a day i think my low hourly rate is screwing meLast edited: Oct 28, 2021

I have both shots ,no plans getting the new booster shot i don’t think the vaccines work .Way too many professional sports players and vaccinated people getting sick -
I do crossing border evry 24 hours ,operate in NY,NJ ,OH ,Mi ,IL PA,II Wi,.I work with workflow computer program ,and I'm setting my Next Available Time by myself .Planing is crucial and if I'm correct and lucky (traffic) I'm moving non stop .You should get on full-time job 80 thousand a year which is not much becouse trucker day is usually 14 hr day work almost double of any blue worker timeLast edited: Nov 3, 2021
