RFX-75 mod

AMENT but SAD ...

I was thinking of my DR-03 Alinco 10 watts on 10 meter FM WOW for $40 bucks its doing 100 CLEAN ...... WO-WO that would make my day ......

 

I guess it depends on who does it like every other mod. I've seen some on a scope that were not splattered at all and some that were. The ones that were splattered were done by people that should not be tuning radios.

 

The scope should show from about 20 - 200 mhz you need to look at the output and how much trash is outside the transmit frequency NOT the modulation ....

 

That would be 130+ on a PL100 "peak meter"

you also need to up the power cord,the one that came with to 29 is not enough, you need it to be 12ga.

 

What does it look like on a 20-60 mhz scan on a specturm scope ?

 

well, I've ordered a cobra 29 and an rfx75, we'll see how it does on the bird, scope, and live water/videogate. I'll post it on you tube for you.

 

Are you talking about MODULATION or SPECTRUM scope ? it can look fine on a modulation scope and crap when you look at a wide band display.
