We have an excellent parts guy at the local mhc, can tell him what I need and he knows what the number is.
Team truck. 2 drivers in it 5 days a week if they can drive their full 11 hours at an average speed of 70mph it should be no problem to turn 750 miles a day. Works out to 7500 miles a week. 50 weeks comes to nearly 400k miles in a year. That's about right. Dad's 18 579 he got in July 2020 had 575k or so on it. 3 year old truck averaged 190k a year because of a slip seat operation.singlescrewshaker, Flint1, jamespmack and 8 others Thank this. -
Story is……
Old guy owned 200 acres around Panther, WV. He bought this equipment since he knew he had a 5’ seem of coal on that property, and was gonna dig it out so I’ve been told.
He died couple years ago, his daughter sold all the property for 2.million +, and the guy who bought the equipment hired my buddy to relocate it.
I’ll say this, I was thoroughly impressed…. After checking all the fluids and setting new batteries in it, that 3406C only turned 3 revolutions and fired off!!
He drove it over 2 miles because the holler was to narrow and no place to turn my rig around lol….singlescrewshaker, Flint1, Gearjammin' Penguin and 11 others Thank this. -
Starter on my Bucket of Bolts came from a Peterbilt dealer up in Hurricane, WV. I put a high torque light weight on it….singlescrewshaker, Flint1, jamespmack and 9 others Thank this. -
Dang, wish I'd asked about this earlier, maybe even bought a shop/service manual..
I'm not the best at planning, more a react to the problem guy. Need to work on that so I'm told..
That water header is exactly where she was spewing 2gals a day with the puke tank cap loose.!
Back corner, ditch side, just behind where the block heater bolts up. I put some black rtv, but only on the header plate side of that big 33 bolt hole gasket, & didn't use a torque spec or sequence. Just from plate center to the ends.. Just have to see what happens now when I put some coolant in, & go from there. Thanks for the info..
Flint1, IH9300SBA, jamespmack and 7 others Thank this. -
You betcha!! 10 new 285/75r24.5's for $4k out the door.
I spent for some Firestone fs591? Steers, but had to put some Indonesian mfr on the drives. They ain't the best but aired up without the bead cheater, & the ~2500 mile I've run on them bobtail/mt has been smooth. They get me by a yr or so I'll start putting something USA made, or I really liked my old Dayton D620 open shoulders too..Last edited: Nov 9, 2021

Oh yeah, can't remember if I posted these or not.? It clears with no flap hangers, but close.. Probably going to move 5th back a few more inches so I'm not at the end of the slider like it currently sits..
8' upper
13.5" pin setting
68" swing clearance is what I measure
